For over 59 years, the United Way of Thunder Bay has been working to improve local lives. Through community consultations, we strive to make meaningful long-term improvements to the quality of life for all people.

Having evolved from our roots as “fundraiser” to a community convenor, United Way of Thunder Bay brings together partners from business, government, labour, service providers, community leaders, and residents to create opportunities for a better life for everyone across Northwestern Ontario.

POVERTY

Our focus is on addressing the basic needs of vulnerable community members. Emergency services provide vital support to those lacking the resources to maintain their well-being and health.

KIDS

People with a higher level of education tend to experience better health, higher incomes, more secure employment, and better working conditions than people with less education.

COMMUNITY

An Inclusive Community ensures everyone can access resources, contribute their skills, and feel a sense of belonging. By embracing diversity, we create a thriving environment for all.
