The United Way’s GenNext Cabinet is Thunder Bay’s leading organization for young adults who are dedicated to making our community stronger in awesome ways. We are all about involving the 18-40 year-old demographic and inspiring the next generation of giving and volunteering in our community. Our future is in the hands of a very capable group of ladies and gents, and GenNext is here to give them the tools to maintain and enhance the beautiful city we all live in. To get involved with the GenNext Cabinet please call Erika Mikkola at 626-1759 or email
GenNext is involved with meaningful volunteer and networking opportunities. Participants learn how their involvement makes a positive impact on Thunder Bay, while having a great time!
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
- Meets once a month September through June
- This Cabinet is comprised of members of all committees and aims to provide support to existing events, create new ones, and generally guide GenNext in our community.
Day of Caring Committee
- Meets January through June
- Day of Caring is a city wide initiative that aims to connect local not for profit organizations with local volunteers. In this one day event we work with local agencies to host multiple projects across the city and connect them with eager volunteers to show what a caring community we are.
