United Way of Thunder Bay - Get Involved - Volunteer Opportunities - Allocations Committee Volunteers

Allocations Committee Volunteers

We are presently looking for people with experience in Accounting and Finances

Each year the United Way of Thunder Bay receives funding applications from various social service agencies here in Thunder Bay.  The Allocation Committee consists of approximately 40 volunteers – 7 teams who review all funding requests and make the recommendations for the distribution of the United Way Community Fund.

We are now recruiting volunteers who can assist the Allocation teams by reviewing and giving a better opinion on agency’s past financial performance and their present and upcoming budgets.

The entire Allocation process is carried out from October and November each year.  We provide all the information and necessary training to ensure each person has a positive and worthwhile experience and new volunteers will work with an experienced committee chair and panel members.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Allocations Committee, or would like more information, please fill out the form below and someone will contact you shorty.
