Community BBQ

This annual event, presented by Sarjeant Propane takes place on July 10^th, in support of the following collaborating community partners: United Way of Thunder Bay, RFDA, Dew Drop Inn and Roots Community Food Centre.

The BBQ is open to the public before July 10 for online pre-orders and the day of for walk-ups and on-the-spot orders. Menu items can include: regular burgers, bison burgers, hot dogs, DDI’s dewey dogs, french fries as well as veggie burger options. To view the full list and/or to pre-order go to the menu page. Hand pies cooked in the Roots stone fireplace and specialty lemonade drinks will also be available.

The famous Dunk Tank is returning but with a twist. We have Dunkees who have agreed to raise $2000 each before they’ll even consider being dunked. View the Dunkees here and/or to make a donation.

Don’t forget about our CommUNITY BBQ Raffle ticket sales with a grand prize of a Vermont Castings BBQ with accessories donated by Canadian Tire and a $1000 worth of meat donated by North Country Meats, Cav-Tal Foods, Superior Foods, and Maltese Grocery. There are Early Bird Draws happening for various $100 gift card. Tickets can be purchased at the following offices: RFDA at 570 Syndicate Avenue South, United Way of Thunder Bay at 1085 Carrick Street, Roots Community Food Centre at 450 Fort William Road, St. Andrew’s Dew Drop Inn at 294 Red River Road or be on the lookout at various grocery stores and the Country Market at 425 Northern Avenue.
