United Way celebrates the success of the 2016 Campaign Achievement
The United Way of Thunder Bay celebrated the success of the 2016 fundraising Campaign on Monday, February 13th held at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre.
Campaign Co-Chair, Michael Nitz; Executive Director, Jered Zieroth; and Campaign Director, Jodie Wilson were ecstatic to reveal that a remarkable $2,618,000 was raised to help thousands of local people in our community.
Roughly 200 community members were in attendance at the Campaign Celebration & Awards where the United Way thanked and recognized Employee Workplace Campaigns and volunteers for their contributions in 2016. It was an honour to recognize so many United Way supporters.
We were thrilled to celebrate everyone for their hard work and dedication they give to the United Way through their time, talents, energy and dollars towards this year's effort.
Because of the supporters, we can provide the necessary funding to 60 programs within our 3 pillars of focus that help kids be all they can be, taking people from poverty to possibility and creating a healthy and strong community for all of us. Community impact is our priority as an organization. We would like to thank you for the impact that you are making in our community by your generous donations and as a volunteer of the United Way of Thunder Bay.
A complete listing of the employee campaigns will be shared in a full-page ad in the Chronicle-Journal newspaper on Wednesday February 15th, and also at www.uwaytbay.ca.
The United Way of Thunder Bay extends its heartfelt appreciation to each and every person, group and organization that was a part of the 2016 campaign. It is truly a wonderful thing to see a community come together in such a remarkable show of support for one another. Thank you and congratulations!!
Together, we are possibility.
We would like to thank all Campaign Celebration & Award sponsors:
