Soup-er Powered Results

Thank you to everyone who placed an order, volunteered or sponsored the first ever Soup-er Power Lunch which was held on December 9, 2015. This event sold over 650 orders for a total of $4980 raised in support of the United Way of Thunder Bay and Regional Food Distribution Association!

This event was generously presented by Ontario Power Generation and sponsored by 91.5 CKRP, Energy 103.5, Rock 94, Global Thunder Bay, Thunder Bay Source, The Chronicle-Journal, Wholesale Club, and Brule Creek Flour. Special thanks to Confederation College Culinary Program for stepping up to bake fresh buns for the event.

We are pleased to note that  all leftover soup and buns did not go to waste; these items were used to  support other community groups such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay and the Salvation Army soup truck.

United Way of Thunder Bay is leading the way to a better community by improving the quality of life for all local people. By collaborating with community partners, we are leading the way to addressing social issues in our community and investing in three critical areas: Poverty, Kids and Strong Communities. Donations to the United Way are strategically invested across Thunder Bay to many vital programs and initiatives in these areas, creating a social safety net that works to achieve lasting change for our neighbours, families and friends.
